This could have been taken with a slightly wider lens really but I only had my trusty Fuji X10 with me so 28mm was as wide as it goes.

I don’t go to Holkham that often but this is the second week on the trot. And amazingly warm it was too for early March.

I think this is my favourite photo so far of a frost encrusted leaf. Proof that some ideas are worth pursuing until one is happy with the results.

An area that I’ve always loved is the woods behind Holkham beach. There’s something incredibly tranquil about the area and it very difficult to capture photographically. I guess it’s all about atmosphere and that doesn’t always come through in a photograph.

I’ve had this shell on my desk for at least a decade and I’ve finally decide to photograph it. I’m not sure these photos entirely lived up to expectations but they still have a certain something.

One of the very few frosty mornings we’ve had this year, it’s been such an amazingly warm winter. These photos are more where my heart is.
